Hi, I'm Luke. I'm a member of technical staff at Thinking Machines, working on building products that help keep the future human. I'm also the co-author of The Intelligence Curse, an essay series that explores the potential effects of mass automation and how we can combat it.
I was previously a co-founder of Workshop Labs. We were an AI research company building user-aligned models, with a mission to make people irreplaceable. I also used to run AI governance and AI economics at BlueDot Impact, won a few elections as a campaign manager, interned at Congress, and studied politics at Oxford.
I'm based in San Francisco, spent 5 years in the UK, and am proudly from North Carolina.
